Model guilds and associations

This page provides a comprehensive listing of figure model guilds and other associations throughout the world dedicated to promote and support artist models.

These groups are great resources for life models and often serve to connect life models with figure drawing groups.

    Hi,
I started a guild for Calgary, AB Canada. While it’s just starting out, I have high hopes that it will turn into a valuable resource for the figure drawing community and the models that they want to hire.

Hey stumbled on your site while I was doing research to update our class info on our facebook page and was so surprised to see us listed on here 😀 you have no idea how exciting that is.
Just wanted to let you know that we run model training workshops for all levels of models, its done on a volunteer basis, so its usually once every school holidays when the model who runs them has time.
Also we have a model listing which we distribute to teachers and sketch clubs. we might be new, but we expect a very high standard of professionalism, hygene and genuine effort from all of our models, as such we are regarded quite highly in the artistic community in Sydney.

Also just another note: in the Sydney life drawing groups listing theres a few places that you have under other nsw, they are in Sydney though. Art est, Oatley arts 101, and I cant remember another one.
Also you have a great number of tafes and universitys listed, many of them are currently either not using models or using less models due to funding cuts.
Really love your website! I think we are both aiming for the same thing. advertise the people that employ us! keep up the good work!

Thank you so much for providing this information. Based on what you told me, I added your organization to my list of model guilds and associations too. I also moved the Oatley Society of Artists to the Sydney listing.

My goal in listing life drawing sites throughout the world is to show just how ubiquitous life modeling is and to give models leads in finding modeling opportunities. There are just too many out there to keep the list current. I figure even if they don’t have modeling sessions all the time, they are still great leads for models looking for work. Cheers!

I really like this website as a way to link to and discover other art model organizations across the globe!

By the way, the Bay Area Models’ Guild also holds Figure Modeling Workshops for anyone interested in modeling. We coincide them with our auditions held twice a year.

I would love to start a global dialogue with other organizations that would be interested in an international model exchange.

Thank you for the great website and for listing us! We turn 70 in 2016!!

Such a wonderful list! Thank you, this website is so very useful.
I just wanted to let you know that I’m in the early stages of creating a group for life models in Adelaide, South Australia. We held our first training session a month ago!

I’ve been trying to sign up with society of art models(los angeles) and there seems to be a problem with the confirmation emails. They never work correctly.

Has anyone else had and solved this problem?
